Former Pakistan cricketer Shoaib Akhtar condemned Abdul Razzaq’s remarks on Aishwarya Rai in a media conference, and also called out those who laughed and applauded such derogatory remarks.
During a press conference evaluating Pakistan’s World Cup 2023 performance, Abdul Razzaq, accompanied by former cricketers Umar, Gul, and Shahid Afridi, sparked controversy by making disparaging comments about Aishwarya Rai.
The video has since gone viral, eliciting strong criticism from the cricket community. Meanwhile, the former Pakistan pacer, Shoaib Akhtar, took to Twitter to condemn this act. Here’s what he wrote:
“I highly condemn the inappropriate joke/comparison made by Razzaq. No woman should be disrespected like this. People seated beside him should have raised their voice right away rather than laughing & clapping.”
