Sri Lanka vs Bangladesh 2021: Sri Lanka is set to host Bangladesh in a two-match Test series starting at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium in Kandy on April 22.

Angelo Mathews has returned to the Sri Lankan Test team as Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) has announced an 18-member squad for the upcoming two-match series against Bangladesh. He had pulled out of the One Day International (ODI) series in the West Indies, citing personal reasons.

Lahiru Kumara, who missed the West Indies tour after he tested positive for COVID-19, has also returned to the squad, which will be led by Dimuth Karunaratne. However, speedster Dushmantha Chameera shall not be a part of the squad due to some family commitments.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this series will be played in a bio-secure bubble, and no spectators will be allowed in the stadium.

The Bangladesh team landed in Sri Lanka on April 12th and played an intra-squad practice match as a part of their preparation for the first Test against Sri Lanka in Kandy.
