T20 World Cup 2021: Harbhajan Singh Want THIS Player To Be Included In Team India’s Playing XI
Indian veteran Harbhajan Singh expresses his opinion regarding the opening pair of Team India in the T20 World Cup 2021.
Team India kicked off their T20 World Cup 2021 campaign on a disastrous note as their arch-rivals Pakistan have beaten them by 10 wickets in their first match.
After putting to bat first, India could manage only 151 runs in the scheduled 20 overs, thanks to Virat Kohli’s 57 off 49 and Rishabh Pant’s 39 off 30. Pakistan, in reply, chased down the score in the 19th over itself, that too without losing a single wicket.
KL Rahul (3 runs off 8 deliveries) and Rohit Sharma (0 run off 1 ball) failed to give a perfect start to their side as both of them got beaten by Shaheen Afridi’s pace. Meanwhile, Indian spin great Harbhajan Singh suggested a couple of changes in India’s playing XI before their next match.
Taking to Twitter, Harbhajan Singh shared his thoughts of bringing Ishan Kishan at the top along with Rohit Sharma and putting Virat Kohli at number 3. While he wants KL Rahul, the number choice opener to bat at number 4 for team India.
Harbhajan feels that KL Rahul, Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma are the most sorted players of the team and they can play any role given to them.
“I think @ishankishan51 should be included in team india as opener and classy batsman @klrahul11 can bat at 4. I think Virat,Rohit, KL are the most sorted players in terms of playing any kind of role in the team .. My view,” tweeted Harbhajan Singh.
Here it is worth noting that Ishan Kishan has been selected in the Indian squad as the backup opener. He has done well in the only warm-up game he played against England.
Kishan top-scored with 70 not out off 46 balls with 7 fours and 3 sixes and eventually retired hurt to give other batters a chance.
Notably, team India is scheduled to play their next match in the T20 World Cup against Kane Williamson led New Zealand on 31st October at Dubai International Stadium, Dubai.
