Australia’s fast bowlers provided the perfect start to Australia under new captain Pat Cummins on the opening day of the first Ashes Test at the Gabba.

However, it was captain Cummins who starred with the ball as he picked a five-wicket haul on his first day as Australia’s 47th Test captain as England were dismissed shortly before tea on day one for 147.

Cummins’ finished the innings with a brilliant bowling figures of 5/38 which includes the wicket of Haseeb Hameed, Ben Stokes, Chris Woakes, Ollie Robinson and Mark Wood.

Following, this fifer, Pat Cummins becomes the first captain in 39 years to take a five wickets haul in the Ashes.
