Vaibhav Suryavanshi Smashes Fastest Fifty in IPL 2025, Breaks Nicholas Pooran’s Record
Vaibhav Suryavanshi, just 14 years old, broke Nicholas Pooran’s record by smashing the fastest fifty of IPL 2025 in just 17 balls.
Vaibhav Suryavanshi is making the world sit up and take notice. The 14-year-old Rajasthan Royals batter smashed the fastest fifty of IPL 2025 against Gujarat Titans, taking just 17 balls to reach the milestone.
He broke the record set by Nicholas Pooran, who had scored a fifty in 18 balls against Sunrisers Hyderabad earlier this season. Another young player, Priyansh Arya, also made it to the list with a 19-ball fifty against Chennai Super Kings.
Fastest fifties in IPL 2025:
- Vaibhav Suryavanshi – 17 balls vs Gujarat Titans
- Nicholas Pooran – 18 balls vs Sunrisers Hyderabad
- Priyansh Arya – 19 balls vs Chennai Super Kings
It was complete domination from the young left-hander against a helpless Gujarat Titans bowling attack. Vaibhav took them to the cleaners with his aggressive batting right from the start.
The young sensation also made another mark by smashing the second fastest fifty by a Rajasthan Royals batter in IPL history. Yashasvi Jaiswal still holds the record with a 13-ball fifty against Kolkata Knight Riders during the 2023 season. Jos Buttler had earlier recorded an 18-ball fifty against Delhi Capitals in 2018.
