Varanasi’s New Cricket Stadium Set to Have a Lord Shiva Theme

When it comes to both population and cricket, Uttar Pradesh takes the lead in India. The state is home to two well-established cricket arenas – the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow and the iconic Green Park Stadium in Kanpur. Additionally, Varanasi is set to welcome a brand-new cricket stadium.

The Varanasi stadium under construction is breaking the mold with its distinct design. According to a Jagran News report, its design is a tribute to Lord Shiva, with a dome-shaped like a Trishul (trident), floodlights resembling a Damru (drum), an entrance gate crafted like Belpatra (Bael leaves), and seating arrangements that emulate the steps of the Ganga Ghat.
