“Pathetic Things Said on The Boundary Lines”-Virat Kohli, Furious Over The Racist Remarks

Virat Kohli angry as India's fast bowler Mohammed Siraj has faced racial remarks once again on the fourth day of the Sydney Test match against Australia.

Team India’s fast bowler Mohammed Siraj has once again faced racial remarks on the fourth day of the Sydney Test match against Australia. Sources in Team India made a big disclosure after the match, saying that the Australian audience had called Mohammed Siraj a ‘Brown Dog’. Earlier on Saturday, an intoxicated spectator on SCG allegedly made racial remarks on Indian players Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Siraj.

Team India captain Virat Kohli has raised a strong objection to the apartheid remarks made by the spectators on Indian pacer Mohammed Siraj. He took to Twitter and expressed his anger, he wrote:

“Racial abuse is absolutely unacceptable. Having gone through many incidents of really pathetic things said on the boundary Iines, this is the absolute peak of rowdy behaviour. It’s sad to see this happen on the field.”

BCCI Secretary Jay Shah also looked upset with the incident and he expressed his opinion on this issue via Twitter. He wrote:

“Racism has no place in our great sport or in any walk of society. I’ve spoken to Cricket Australia and they have ensured strict action against the offenders. BCCI and Cricket Australia stand together. These acts of discrimination will not be tolerated. @SGanguly99 @ThakurArunS”

Cricket Australia Apologizes

International Cricket Council (ICC) condemned the incidents of racial abuse and sought a report of action from the cricket board of the host country.

“Cricket Australia condemns in the strongest terms possible all discriminatory behaviour,” said Sean Carroll, Cricket Australia’s Head of Integrity and Security.

“If you engage in racist abuse, you are not welcome in Australian cricket. CA is awaiting the outcome of the International Cricket Council’s investigation into the matter reported at the SCG on Saturday. Once those responsible are identified, CA will take the strongest measures possible under our Anti-Harassment Code, including lengthy bans, further sanctions and referral to NSW Police.”

“As series hosts, we unreservedly apologise to our friends in the Indian cricket team and assure them we will prosecute the matter to its fullest extent,” Carroll added.
