“Was Given Hope And Stabbed Again On Old Wounds” – Twitter Slams ECB For Not Picking Alex Hales In Revised Squad For Pakistan ODIs
Twitterati disappointed as Alex Hales missing England squad for ODI series against Pakistan.

England Cricket, on Tuesday, announced a new 18-member squad for their upcoming ODI series against Pakistan. The announcement has been done on the back of the latest covid-19 outbreak, this time in the English squadron. Three players and four staff members tested positive ahead of their clash against Pakistan.
However, as they were scheduled to play their first ODI against Pakistan on July 8, it was reported that the series would go without any interruption. However, when the revised team was announced on Tuesday, Alex Hales, again saw his name missing from the squad. As soon as the ECB announced the fresh squad, the likes of James Vince, Ben Duckett, and Dawid Malan, etc got the chance to mark a comeback.
However, it was again a big disappointment for English star player Alex Hales, who last played for England in an ODI and T20I fixture in 2019. After proving his worth again and again in the different leagues and T20 tournaments he played, the 32-year old hasn’t been given a second chance.
Meanwhile, netizens are not keeping calm after the announcement and they are putting it out on social media. While many are questioning the management for not picking Hales, few are blaming ECB for spoiling Alex Hales’ cricketing career. Here we’ve got some top reactions for you. Have a look:
