In the World Cup face-off against Bangladesh, Babar Azam, the captain of Pakistan, was over the moon when Haris Rauf took Mushfiqur Rahim’s wicket. Babar’s jubilation reached the point where he pulled on Haris Rauf’s hair while celebrating the wicket.
It all happened on the final delivery of the sixth over when Haris Rauf bowled a back-of-length delivery to Mushfiqur Rahim, inducing slight movement after landing around the off-stump. Rahim, opting for a defensive shot, managed only a faint outside edge, and wicket-keeper Mohammad Rizwan, stationed behind the stumps, completed a safe catch.
It wasn’t until the umpire’s raised finger confirmed Mushfiqur’s dismissal that the entire Pakistan team erupted in celebration. Captain Babar Azam was so thrilled that he playfully tugged at Haris Rauf’s hair, and the video of this moment is now circulating on social media.
