[Watch] Haris Rauf Shouts at Azam Khan for Dropping Easy Catch of Will Jacks During ENG vs PAK 4th T20I

Azam Khan also dropped an easy catch of Philip Salt earlier in the innings.

The Pakistan wicketkeeper-batter Azam Khan has come under scrutiny for his string of poor performances. Besides his batting, he is now also under the radar for his subpar wicketkeeping.

In the fourth T20I match against England, which was a do-or-die match for Pakistan, Azam Khan dropped two easy catches, both off the bowling of Haris Rauf.

He first dropped Philip Salt’s catch, which backfired as Salt went on to score 45 runs from 24 balls before Haris Rauf dismissed him in the seventh over.

Later, Azam Khan dropped an easy catch of Will Jacks, who went on to score 20 runs from 18 balls, again off Haris Rauf’s bowling. The Pakistan pacer eventually bowled Will Jacks for 20 runs in the 11th over.

Meanwhile, Haris Rauf was visibly frustrated with Azam Khan’s sloppy wicketkeeping.

Poor Batting Display by Azam Khan

Speaking of his batting, Azam Khan registered a five-ball duck and, even before this match, failed to provide any significant contributions for Pakistan. In the 11 T20I matches he has played so far, he has managed only 88 runs at an average of 11.

It is worth mentioning that Azam Khan has been picked for the Pakistan T20 World Cup 2024 squad. It will be interesting to see if he can retain his place in the team after a string of failures.
