After addressing the media at the press conference, Rohit got up to leave, completely forgetting the Champions Trophy behind. It wasn’t until a staff member picked up the silverware and handed it to him that he realized his mistake. The Indian captain also took time to click pictures with journalists before leaving with the trophy in hand.

Amid growing speculation about his future in international cricket, Rohit made his stance clear.
“Koi future plan nahi hai. Jo chal raha hai, wo chalega (There’s no future plan, things will keep going as they are). I’m not retiring from this format. Just to make sure no rumors spread moving forward,” he said at the press conference.
Rohit Sharma Credits Spinners & Dubai Crowd for India’s Victory
During the post-match presentation, Rohit also lauded India’s spinners and the massive support from fans in Dubai.
“The crowd here has been magnificent. It’s not our home ground, but they made it feel like one. The support we got was unreal, and winning in front of them was really special. Not just today, but throughout the tournament, our spinners played a crucial role. Expectations were high, and they delivered every time,” he said.
With the Champions Trophy now over, attention shifts to the IPL 2025, which is set to begin in a fortnight.
