Watch: The Most Bizzare And Funny Run Out Of IPL 2021
IPL 2021: Deepak Hooda run out: The all-rounder from Punjab Kings returned to the pavilion after being part of a horrible mix-up with his captain.

IPL 2021: The ongoing 29th match of the IPL 2021 between Punjab Kings (PBKS) and Delhi Capitals (DC) saw one of the most bizarre and funniest run-outs ever witnessed in the history of the Indian Premier League (IPL).
Earlier in the match, Delhi Capitals won the toss and opt to bowl first. While Delhi Capitals went unchanged, Punjab Kings made two changes as KL Rahul was replaced by Mayank Agarwal, who also made his IPL captaincy debut. Dawid Malan made his IPL debut as well.
Punjab Kings got off to a poor start as one of their openers Prabhsimran Singh fell for 12 runs and later Chris Gayle got out for 13. Dawid Malan and Mayank Agarwal steadied the ship a bit with a 52-run partnership for the third wicket.
However, Malan fell to Axar Patel for 26, and then in a bizarre way, Deepak Hooda also followed him for 1 run.
The incident happened on the third ball of the 14th over, when Agarwal played an Axar Patel towards the right of Shimron Hetmyer at extra cover. Keen to sneak a single, Agarwal called for a single which was eventually refused by Hooda.
However, the refusal wasn’t as simple as it sounds as a miscommunication had resulted in both the batsmen trying to reach the crease at the non-striker’s end.
With Hetmyer diving and throwing the ball to Patel in a jiffy, Patel didn’t make any mistake in dislodging the bails and then throwing the ball to Delhi Capitals captain and wicket-keeper Rishabh Pant to be on the safe side.
