Earlier, Jos Buttler gifted his signed bat to Yashasvi Jaiswal.

Rajasthan Royals’ explosive wicket-keeper batsman Jos Buttler on Wednesday gave budding RR keeper Anuj Rawat a special gift before leaving the bio-secure bubble to travel back home in England.

Buttlet gave him a pair of wicket-keeping gloves that he used during the IPL 2021 tournament. The official handle of Rajasthan Royals’ shared the picture on social media and wrote, “Something to keep, from one explosive keeper-batter to another.”

Anuj Rawat is a wicket-keeper batsman from Uttarakhand who made his IPL debut on May 2 against Sunrisers Hyderabad at the Arun Jaitley Stadium, Delhi.

Anuj Rawat also shared the video on his Instagram with caption:

“One of the finest batsman and more importantly an amazing human being, honoured to share the dressing room with you.”

Buttler has also gifted his signed bat to his fellow teammate and young RR opener Yashasvi Jaiswal. Notably, Jos Buttler was on the list of IPL 2021 Orange Cap and one of the century scorers in the suspended edition of the tournament.

The IPL 2021 was postponed indefinitely on Tuesday after several players tested positive for COVID-19.

Two Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) players Varun Chakravarthy and Sandeep Warrier, Chennai Super Kings coaches Lakshmipathy Balaji and Mike Hussey, one SunRisers Hyderabad’s player and another from Delhi Capitals were among those who tested positive for the deadly virus.

Of the 56 league matches that were scheduled for this year’s IPL, only 29 were played before the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and IPL Governing Council unanimously decided to postpone the season with immediate effect.

On Monday, the match between KKR and Royal Challengers Bangalore was rescheduled after two positive cases within the Kolkata franchise.
