‘What’s for dinner?’ – Sanjana Ganesan Inner Wife Comes Out While Interviewing Husband Jasprit Bumrah After IND vs PAK Clash
Sanjana Ganesan shared a light-hearted moment with husband Jasprit Bumrah after T20 World Cup 2024 match between India and Pakistan.
Jasprit Bumrah, Player of the Match for the second time in a row, spoke to his wife Sanjana Ganesan in a post-match interview following India’s thrilling victory over Pakistan in the T20 World Cup 2024.
The low-scoring encounter at Nassau County, New York, saw India emerge victorious by a narrow margin of six runs after restricting Pakistan to 113 while chasing a target of 120.
Jasprit Bumrah, the hero of the hour, played a pivotal role with his exceptional bowling performance, taking three wickets for just 14 runs in his three overs.
Discussing the match conditions, Bumrah explained:
“The wicket changed throughout the innings. Initially, it offered swing and seam due to overcast conditions, but dried up later as the sun came out. This made batting slightly easier.”
“We’re happy we were able to pull it off by applying constant pressure, having clear plans, and making it difficult for Pakistan to score,” he said. “The team communicated well and never panicked, which is a great sign for the future.”
Bumrah’s first crucial wicket was Pakistan’s captain, Babar Azam, dismissed for 13 runs in the fifth over. He then went on to claim the crucial wicket of Mohammad Rizwan, who was anchoring the Pakistani innings with two crucial partnerships.
Speaking about Rizwan’s dismissal, Bumrah said:
“The situation demanded a quick assessment. We had to consider the other batsman’s strategy. I stuck to what has been working for me throughout the tournament – making them hit on the off-side and staying calm. The execution was good, and the ball stayed low, which shifted the momentum in our favor.”
As the interview comes to an end, Bumrah said to his wife Sanjana:
“See you in 30 minutes.”
To this, his wife replied:
“What’s for dinner?”
With this win, India secured a strong start to their T20 World Cup campaign, having won both their opening matches. They will now face co-hosts USA on Wednesday, June 12th.
