‘Wo bhut dangerous hai…’ – Shadab Khan Picks His Favourite Batter from India, And It’s NOT Virat Kohli
Shadab Khan revealed his favourite bowler and batter from India
The ICC World Cup 2023 is just around the corner, and all teams are gearing up to compete for the prestigious trophy. As cricketers prepare to put on their best in this marquee tournament, Pakistan’s all-rounder, Shadab Khan, has revealed his favourite bowler and batter from India.
Interestingly, Shadab Khan opted for Rohit Sharma over Virat Kohli as his favourite batsman in the Indian cricket team. He justified his choice by explaining how daunting it can be to bowl to the Indian captain once he gets into his groove. Here’s what Shadab Khan said:
“As a batter, I really like Rohit Sharma. He’s very difficult and dangerous to bowl to once he’s set. Among the bowlers, I like Kuldeep because I’m also a leg-spinner. It’s very difficult to bowl on flat tracks in these conditions.”
Rohit Sharma was on fire in the 2019 ICC Cricket World Cup. The hard-hitting batter was at his best during that tournament in England as he smashed a whopping 648 runs – the highest in the marquee tournament- in just nine matches, averaging 81.00 with a strike rate of 98.33.
The ‘Hitman’ scored five centuries and one fifty in the tournament, including a knock of 140 against arch-rivals Pakistan, which is considered one of the finest knocks in World Cup history. Rohit became the only batter ever to smash five centuries in a single World Cup.
Rohit Sharma has been in exceptional form lately, and he’s entering the World Cup with a fantastic touch. He’ll undoubtedly aim to make a significant contribution to India’s campaign and attempt to end Team India’s decade-long ICC trophy drought by winning the World Cup this year.
