WPL 2025: Ellyse Perry Goes Berserk! Blazes 27-Ball Fifty vs Gujarat Giants
Ellyse Perry smashed a 27-ball 50 against Gujarat Giants.
Ellyse Perry played a stunning knock for Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in their Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2025 match against Gujarat Giants, smashing a 27-ball half-century to keep her team in the hunt. However, her innings came to an end at 57 off 34 balls when she was dismissed on the second ball of the 13th over by Sayali Satghare.
Perry’s blistering knock, laced with six fours and two sixes, was crucial in RCB’s chase of a daunting 202-run target. She provided much-needed stability after RCB lost Smriti Mandhana (9) and Danielle Wyatt-Hodge (4) early in the powerplay.
Partnering with Raghvi Bist (25 off 27), Perry helped RCB cross the 100-run mark in the 11th over. With her 57-run knock, she also became only the second player in WPL history to cross the 650-run milestone, following Meg Lanning.
Gujarat Giants Strike Back
Just as Perry looked set to push RCB closer to the target, Sayali Satghare got the breakthrough, sending her back in the 13th over. With Perry’s dismissal, RCB now faces an uphill task with Richa Ghosh and the lower middle order needing to step up.
