WPL 2025 Match 9 – RCB vs UPW: Royal Challengers Bengaluru Women vs UP Warriorz Women – Match Highlights and Scorecard
UP Warriorz Women defeated Royal Challengers Bengaluru Women in Super Over in the 9th match of the WPL 2025.

UP Warriorz pulled off a thrilling victory against Royal Challengers Bengaluru Women in a dramatic Super Over finish at M Chinnaswamy Stadium in the Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2025.
Chasing 181, UPW seemed down and out at 139/8, but Sophie Ecclestone’s stunning 33 off 19 balls helped them tie the game. The left-arm spinner then bowled the Super Over and defended a modest total of 8 runs, sealing an unforgettable win for her team.
RCB Women, after being put to bat first, posted a competitive 180/6 in 20 overs. Ellyse Perry starred with a brilliant 90* off 56 balls, anchoring the innings with support from Wyatt-Hodge (57 off 41).
However, despite their solid batting effort, RCB failed to close the game in the final overs. Deepti Sharma, Chinelle Henry, and Tahlia McGrath picked up one wicket each for UP Warriorz.
In response, UPW had a strong start but kept losing wickets at regular intervals. Kiran Navgire (24 off 12) and Deepti Sharma (25 off 13) provided early momentum, but the middle order collapsed under pressure.
With 41 needed off the last three overs, Sophie Ecclestone turned the game around with her aggressive batting before getting run out on the final ball, ensuring the match went into a Super Over.
With only 8 runs to defend, Ecclestone showcased her brilliance with the ball, conceding just six runs and securing UPW’s second consecutive win in WPL 2025. RCB Women, despite Perry’s heroics, will be disappointed with their failure to close out the game.
