India Sets Record for Most 200+ Run-Chases in T20Is

India chased down the target of 210 runs to beat Australia by two wickets.

India secured a thrilling two-wicket victory over Australia in the opening T20I of the five-match series, claiming an early 1-0 lead. They accomplished their highest T20I run chase, successfully reaching the 210-run target.

Josh Inglis’s century powered Australia to a total of 209 runs, but India’s batters, led by Ishan Kishan (58) and Suryakumar Yadav (80), had their plans set. Rinku Singh then stylishly wrapped up the match, securing a memorable win for India.

It marks the fifth instance of India successfully chasing down a target of 200 or more runs in T20Is. They even outdid South Africa, who managed it four times. Pakistan and Australia are neck and neck, pulling off this feat three times each in T20Is.
