PSL 2024: Babar Azam Becomes First Player To Score 3000 Runs In Tournament History

Babar Azam scored 68 runs from 42 balls.

Babar Azam, the former captain of Pakistan, etched his name in the history of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) by becoming the first player ever to score 3,000 runs in the tournament.

The elegant right-hander, who was just 65 runs away from achieving this milestone, reached it during Peshawar Zalmi’s first match in the 2024 PSL season against Quetta Gladiators on Sunday, February 18th.

Babar Azam finished with a score of 68 off 42 deliveries, while opener Saim Ayub blazed through with a rapid 42. However, their efforts fell short in propelling Zalmi to victory as they were left trailing by 16 runs.
