PAK vs NZ: [Watch] Glenn Phillips’ Jaw-Dropping One-Handed Catch to Dismiss Dangerous Rizwan in Champions Trophy 2025

Glenn Phillips pulled off a stunning one-handed catch to dismiss Mohammad Rizwan.

New Zealand’s Glenn Phillips produced a breathtaking moment in the opening match of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 against Pakistan. His one-handed stunner sent Pakistan captain Mohammad Rizwan back to the pavilion.

Pakistan, chasing a challenging 321-run target, did not get off to a great start. They lost Saud Shakeel early for just six runs off 19 balls. Soon after, Mohammad Rizwan, one of their key batters, also fell cheaply, scoring only three runs from 14 balls.

It all happened on the last delivery of the 10th over when William O’Rourke bowled a short ball outside off at 145.1 kmph. Rizwan, looking to cut it fiercely, made excellent contact, sending the ball flying towards the backward point region.

The shot looked destined for a boundary until Glenn Phillips leaped to his left and pulled off an extraordinary one-handed catch out of thin air.

The New Zealand players were stunned, the crowd erupted, and even Rizwan stood in disbelief. O’Rourke, the bowler, couldn’t believe his eyes, while Phillips once again proved why he is one of the best fielders in the world.
