PSL 2025: [Watch] Mohammad Amir Gives Angry Send-Off to Babar Azam After Dismissing Him On Duck

Chasing a big target of 217 runs, Zalmi were hoping for a solid start from their skipper. But Mohammad Amir had other ideas. He delivered a perfect out-swinger early in the innings, tempting Babar to drive. The shot went slightly in the air towards short cover, where the fielder took a brilliant diving catch to send Babar back for a 2-ball duck.

As soon as the catch was taken, Amir burst into an emotional celebration. He pointed towards his jersey number, a gesture that many believed was a direct dig at Babar Azam. The moment instantly went viral among PSL fans online.

Amir and Babar have a bit of history. Even though Amir played under Babar’s captaincy during the T20 World Cup last year, he has never been a fan of Babar’s leadership or batting style. Amir has often questioned Babar’s approach publicly, while Babar has chosen to stay silent on the matter.

With this fiery start from Amir, Quetta Gladiators went on to dominate the match. They defeated Peshawar Zalmi by a massive margin of 80 runs, kicking off their PSL 2025 campaign in style.
