[Watch] Abrar Ahmed Recreates His Shubman Gill Dismissal Celebration in PSL 2025

The second match of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2025 between Quetta Gladiators and Peshawar Zalmi was packed with action, drama, and one moment that caught everyone’s attention – Abrar Ahmed’s celebration after picking a wicket.

Playing for Peshawar Zalmi, mystery spinner Abrar Ahmed dismissed Quetta batter Mohammad Haris and instantly pulled out his trademark celebration. It was the same gesture he made after getting Shubman Gill out during the Champions Trophy 2025 – a move that had sparked controversy back then.

After removing Haris, Abrar looked straight at the batter and made the same gesture, which many had earlier considered disrespectful. The celebration had drawn mixed reactions when he did it against India’s Gill, and now its return in PSL 2025 has reignited conversations.

Although no official complaint has been made so far, fans on social media were quick to notice the familiar celebration and started debating its intention and timing.

As far as the match is concerned, it was a one-sided affair. Batting first, Quetta Gladiators posted a massive 216 runs on the board. In response, Peshawar Zalmi crumbled under pressure and lost the game by 80 runs. Babar Azam’s early dismissal for a duck and some heated moments on the field added more fuel to an already intense contest.
