[WATCH] Angry Rishabh Pant Threatens to Slap Digvesh Rathi After Failed DRS Against KL Rahul

Rishabh Pant jokingly threatened to slap Digvesh Rathi after a wrong DRS call during the match against Delhi Capitals.

Rishabh Pant, the captain of Lucknow Super Giants, was seen jokingly threatening to slap teammate Digvesh Rathi during their IPL 2025 match against Delhi Capitals on Tuesday. The moment happened after a failed DRS call that Digvesh convinced Pant to take against DC batter KL Rahul.

The incident took place in the seventh over of Delhi’s innings when Digvesh Rathi was bowling and Rahul was on strike. He bowled a full-length delivery that Rahul defended calmly. There was no obvious edge or sign of dismissal, but Digvesh still managed to convince Pant to go upstairs and take a review.

Replays showed that Rahul had clearly missed the ball, with UltraEdge showing a flat line and the impact being outside off-stump. It was a poor review and wasted opportunity for LSG.

Right after the decision, cameras caught Pant visibly irritated. In a light-hearted yet fiery reaction, he was seen shouting at Digvesh, saying, “Thappad maarunga tujhe!” The video quickly went viral on social media, with fans laughing at the funny banter between the two.

However, it was all in good spirits. Pant’s animated personality and bond with younger players like Digvesh have always made such moments entertaining for fans.

As for the match, Delhi Capitals chased down the target easily and beat Lucknow Super Giants by 8 wickets. Rahul, who was at the centre of this moment, finished the game with a calm and composed knock.
