[Watch] Ball of the Tournament! CSK’s Moeen Ali Bowls Unplayable Delivery to Remove Rilee Rossouw in SA20 2025
Moeen Ali is playing his first match for Joburg Super Kings this season.
The 10th match of the SA20 2025 season is taking place between Joburg Super Kings and Pretoria Capitals at The Wanderers in Johannesburg. Faf du Plessis, the Joburg captain, won the toss and decided to bowl first. His bowlers backed up this decision well, keeping the Pretoria Capitals under control throughout the innings.
Pretoria Capitals struggled with the bat as Rahmanullah Gurbaz was dismissed for a duck, and Will Jacks only managed 15 runs. As the game progressed, the pitch became tougher to bat on, and the spinners started to take control. While Imran Tahir, the 45-year-old magician, picked up a wicket, it was Moeen Ali who stole the show with his spin bowling.
Moeen Ali, playing his first match for Joburg Super Kings this season, made an immediate impact. He picked up two important wickets, including the big scalp of Rilee Rossouw. The delivery that got Rossouw was a special one. It came in the second ball of the seventh over.
Moeen Ali bowled around the wicket and delivered a tossed-up ball around the off stump. The ball pitched and turned slightly, moving slower through the air. Rossouw, who came forward to defend, missed the ball completely. The ball hit the off stump, sending Rossouw back to the pavilion for just 1 run. This was a crucial moment in the match, as it further dampened Pretoria’s chances.

Match Situation
At the 16-over mark, Pretoria Capitals were struggling at 106-5. The top performers for them so far were Kyle Verreynne (39 off 31 balls) and James Neesham (22 off 15 balls). However, the fall of wickets continued to hurt them.
Joburg Super Kings were on top, thanks to the efforts of Moeen Ali and Imran Tahir. The next few overs will be critical for Pretoria as they try to recover from the loss of key wickets.
