The energy at Chepauk was palpable as India took the field for their opening game, with the entire stadium bathed in a sea of blue from fans who had come from far and wide.

Earlier, Australia won the toss and chose to field. However, this decision appears to have backfired on them, as the Indian bowlers have stifled the Australian batters, maintaining tight control over runs and consistently taking wickets. As of the current moment, Australia finds themselves struggling at 145/7 after 39 overs.
