[Watch] ‘Don’t Try To Act Like A Hero’ – Rohit Sharma Scolds Sarfaraz Khan
Rohit Sharma scolds Sarfaraz Khan for not wearing helmet while fielding in silly point.
During England’s second innings of the 4th Test in Ranchi on February 25th, Indian captain Rohit Sharma displayed his trademark humour by addressing player safety concerns in a unique manner. In a playful yet firm manner, Rohit scolded Sarfaraz for fielding at silly point without a helmet.
It all happened in the final session of play, with light fading away slowly in Ranchi. Sarfaraz Khan was set to field at the silly point with the Indian spinners bowling in tandem. Usually players fielding at that spot requires them to wear a helmet as there is barely any time to react to the ball, courtesy of fielding in close quarters.
However, Sarfaraz wasn’t wearing a helmet, and Rohit, standing in the slips, scolded him for not taking care of his safety. In his local Mumbaikar style, Rohit asked him not to act like a hero and wear a helmet. Sarfaraz also reacted quickly and followed the skipper’s instructions and wore a helmet for the remaining day.
