The 13th match of IPL 2025 between Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) and Punjab Kings (PBKS) took place at the Bharat Ratna Shree Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Stadium. Lucknow Super Giants batted first and posted a total of 171 runs on what looked like a good wicket for batting.
Digvesh Rathi Gets the First Breakthrough
Punjab Kings started their chase well. Openers Priyansh Arya and Prabhsimran Singh gave their team a solid start. However, in the third over, Digvesh Rathi provided the first breakthrough for Lucknow Super Giants. He dismissed Priyansh Arya, his domestic teammate, for just 8 runs off 9 balls.
Priyansh Arya tried to play a shot but ended up giving a catch to Shardul Thakur. This was an important wicket for Lucknow as Punjab had started aggressively.
What caught everyone’s attention was Digvesh Rathi’s celebration after taking the wicket. Instead of a usual fist pump or roar, he made a strange gesture of writing something on his hand. This unusual celebration was caught on camera and quickly went viral on social media.
