[Watch] MS Dhoni Returns to Ranchi After CSK’s Playoff Exit, Enjoys Bike Ride

MS Dhoni, the former Indian captain, is back in his hometown Ranchi after the Chennai Super Kings’ disappointing exit from IPL 2024. A video circulating on social media shows Dhoni riding a bike in his dashing look.

While there has been no official confirmation, this season was widely speculated to be Dhoni’s last. However, Chennai Super Kings‘ failure to qualify for the playoffs has reignited fan hopes for another year.

Recently, a CSK official also confirmed that Dhoni hasn’t opened up on his retirement plans yet and will take a few months before making any decision. Notably, Dhoni battled through leg pain throughout the tournament.

The source also hints that Dhoni might wait to see the BCCI’s stance on the “impact substitute” rule. This rule could allow Dhoni to bat in the final overs as an additional batter, minimising his fielding requirements.
