India captain Rohit Sharma was visibly frustrated during the Champions Trophy 2025 final against New Zealand in Dubai on Sunday. The incident took place during the 15th-over drinks break, with New Zealand at 83/3 after Kuldeep Yadav’s double breakthrough.
According to social media reports, Rohit was about to give a pep talk to the team when Shubman Gill was late in joining the huddle. This delay did not sit well with Rohit, who was seen expressing his frustration. Though it is unclear who exactly he shouted at, Gill was seen quickly rushing towards the team after Rohit’s reaction.
