The Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2025 started with an exciting match. Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), the defending champions, won their first game against Gujarat Giants by five wickets. They chased down the mammoth target of 202 runs at Vadodara.
RCB Begins WPL 2025 with a Win
RCB has some of the biggest stars in women’s cricket. Smriti Mandhana, the team captain, is one of the best batters in the world. Ellyse Perry, a cricket legend, is also one of the best players for the team. In the first match, Smriti Mandhana could not score much, but Perry played a brilliant innings of 57 runs from 34 balls when the team was in trouble.
