[Watch] ‘Unsold’ Ben Duckett Gives Audition for IPL 2025 on the Streets of Mumbai
Ben Duckett had registered himself at the base price of INR 2 crore.
Ben Duckett, one of the most explosive T20 batters in recent years, was recently spotted playing street cricket in Mumbai. The English left-hander, who has been in fine form in the ongoing T20I series against India, took time out to enjoy a casual game on the streets of Mumbai.

Despite his impressive performances, Duckett surprisingly went unsold at the IPL 2025 Auction, which was held in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. He had put his base price at INR 2 Crore. However, he has once again proven his worth with the bat.
In the third T20I, he smashed a quickfire 51 off 28 balls to help England secure a victory. He followed it up with another impactful knock of 39 off just 19 deliveries in the fourth match, showcasing his aggressive stroke play.
With India already sealing the five-match T20I series 3-1, the final game at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai, will be a dead rubber. However, Duckett’s recent performances have put him back in the spotlight, and his absence from the IPL 2025 is now a talking point.
Given his ability to accelerate the scoring and play innovative shots, many franchises might take note of his skills, just incase they need a replacement.
His street cricket moment in Mumbai has only added to his popularity among Indian fans, and it remains to be seen if he gets a chance to showcase his talent in the IPL in the coming years.
