Virat Kohli and KL Rahul were caught in a heated verbal exchange during the RCB vs DC IPL 2025 clash at the Arun Jaitley Stadium.
The rivalry week of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 is ending with a high-voltage clash between Delhi Capitals and Royal Challengers Bengaluru at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi.
Before the match started, all eyes were on Virat Kohli and KL Rahul. In the last match between DC and RCB at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium, Axar Patel’s Delhi Capitals had pulled off a stunning victory.
KL Rahul had played a superb knock, smashing 93 runs off 53 balls, helping DC chase down the target.
After his brilliant innings, Rahul had celebrated fiercely by pounding his chest and slamming his bat into the ground, shouting, “This is my ground.”
As the teams met again in Delhi, there were talks that Virat Kohli might copy KL Rahul’s celebration to answer back.
However, just before the toss, Kohli and Rahul shared a friendly hug and smiles, cooling down any rumours of a rivalry between them.
But the calm didn’t last long once the match began. As the chase heated up, emotions took over. During the second innings, a fiery moment was caught between Kohli and Rahul.
The incident happened after the fifth ball of the 8th over, bowled by Kuldeep Yadav. Broadcasters showed a clip where Virat Kohli was seen walking towards KL Rahul and exchanging heated words. Rahul too did not hold back and replied sharply.

At the time of writing, Royal Challengers Bengaluru is at 116/3 in 15.2 overs, with Virat Kohli and Krunal Pandya at the crease, keeping RCB’s chase alive.
