This crucial wicket secured Royal Challengers Bengaluru’s place in the playoffs, with Yash Dayal emerging as the hero. After being slammed for a six off the first ball, where he attempted a yorker that turned into a full toss, Dayal bounced back brilliantly.
A now-viral video on social media captures a crucial moment. It shows Virat Kohli advising Dayal after the first ball, with some fans claiming Kohli said “Yorker nahi, full toss dal” (bowl a slower ball, not a yorker).
Yash Dayal obliged and bowled a slower delivery. Dhoni, attempting a slog sweep, misjudged the slower ball and edged it to the fielder. Dayal conceded just one run in the remaining balls, sealing the victory for RCB.
