IPL 2024: Harshit Rana Fined 60 Percent of Match Fees for Breaching IPL’s Code of Conduct
KKR pacer Harshit Rana incurred a 60% match fee deduction for violating the code of conduct during the IPL 2024 clash with Sunrisers Hyderabad.

During the IPL 2024 match between Kolkata Knight Riders and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) at Eden Gardens, Kolkata on March 23, KKR pacer Harshit Rana was fined 60 percent of his match fees for violating the IPL Code of Conduct.
Rana has penalized for two Level 1 breaches as outlined in Article 2.5 of the IPL’s Code of Conduct, resulting in fines of 10 percent and 50 percent of his match fees.
Rana confessed to both breaches and consented to the sanctions imposed by the Match Referee, whose rulings on Level 1 violations are ultimate and compulsory.
What Did Harshit Rana Do?
In a controversial move, Harshit Rana celebrated aggressively by blowing a flying kiss at Mayank Agarwal following his dismissal in the sixth over of the game.
Agarwal, who had contributed 32 runs, was caught by Rinku Singh off Rana’s bowling. However, Rana’s antics got him in hot water, especially when the legendary batter Sunil Gavaskar called him out for it.
