ILT20 2023: Kieron Pollard Appointed Captain of MI Emirates
ILT20 2023: Kieron Pollard has great experience leading teams in the franchise leagues.
The Mumbai Indians-owned MI Emirates appointed veteran West Indies’ all-rounder Kieron Pollard as the captain for the inaugural season of the International League T20 (ILT20).
Kieron Pollard recently announced his retirement from the Indian Premier League (IPL) and will return to Mumbai Indians as a batting coach in the upcoming season.
The MI Emirates comprises many big names like Dwayne Bravo, Nicholas Pooran, Trent Boult, veteran South African spinner Imran Tahir, the Afghanistan trio of Najibullah Zadran, Fazalhaq Farooqui, and Zahir Khan, among others.
At the same time, Mumbai Indians-owned MI Cape Town named Rashid Khan as the captain for the inaugural season of the SA20. Mr. Akash M. Ambani, Chairman of Reliance Jio, said:

The schedule for the inaugural International League T20 competition, better known as ILT20, which will take place in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), has been released.
The tournament will get underway on January 13, 2023, with the final of the competition scheduled to be played on February 12 at Dubai International Stadium.
ILT20 will kick off with a clash between the Dubai Capitals and Abu Dhabi Knight Riders at the Dubai International Stadium and a total of 34 matches will be played in the tournament.
Meanwhile, MI Emirates will kick off its tournament campaign against Sharjah Warriors on January 14 at Sheikh Zayed Stadium, Sharjah. Here’s the squad of MI Emirates for the inaugural season of ILT20
