Ishan Kishan scripted history on Saturday, December 10 as he became the fastest batter to score a double century in One-Day internationals as he sent the Bangladesh bowlers on a leather hunt.
Kishan reached the 200-run mark in just 126 deliveries as he went past Chris Gayle’s record. The legendary Caribbean batter scored his double hundred against Zimbabwe in just 138 deliveries during the 2015 World Cup in Australia.

Ishan Kishan replaced injured captain Rohit Sharma in the ongoing 3rd ODI against Bangladesh in Chattogram and grabbed his opportunity with both hands as he provided India with a flying start.
Following his stellar double ton, he joined the likes of Sachin Tendulkar, Virender Sehwag, Rohit Sharma (three times), Chris Gayle, Martin Guptill, and Fakhar Zaman in the elite list of batters who have a double century to their name in ODIs.
The 24-year-old wicketkeeper batter smashed 23 fours and 9 sixes to reach the double hundred-run mark. He completed his first hundred runs in just 85 deliveries and then took 18 balls to reach 150 and 23 more to reach 200.
