IND vs NZ: Suryakumar Yadav Scores 49-Ball Century, Becomes Only 2nd Indian to Achieve This Milestone

Suryakumar Yadav played a brilliant unbeaten knock of 111* off 51 deliveries with the help of 11 fours & 7 sixes.

Team India’s batting star Suryakumar Yadav continues his magnificent form as he scores a 49-ball century in the second T20I against New Zealand at Mount Maunganui on Sunday, November 20.

After a scratchy start by the Indian openers, Suryakumar Yadav came in to bat at 3 and did what he is known for, as he sent the Kiwi bowlers on the leather hunt.

The Mumbai batter finished with an unbeaten 111 from 51 deliveries. His belligerent knock was studded with 11 boundaries and 7 towering sixes.

Following his quickfire century, Suryakumar Yadav achieved a huge milestone as he became only the second Indian to score two hundred in T20Is in the same calendar year after Rohit Sharma.

The stylish right-handed batter had earlier scored a sensational hundred in England, which was his maiden century in T20I cricket. Indian captain Rohit Sharma hit two hundred in T20I cricket in 2018.

It was also the highest run scored by any Indian batter in New Zealand in the shortest format. Earlier Rohit Sharma held this record with 65 runs, which he scored back in January 2020.
