IND vs SL: Suryakumar Yadav Breaks KL Rahul’s Record, Hit 2nd Fastest Century for India

Suryakumar Yadav remained unbeaten for 112 of 51 balls against Sri Lanka in 3rd T20I

Suryakumar Yadav, on Saturday, January 7, scored his third T20I century during the third T20I between India and Sri Lanka at the Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Rajkot.

The flamboyant batter raced to the feat in only 45 balls. With this, he became only the second Indian after Rohit Sharma to score three or more hundred in T20 Internationals.

It was also the second-fastest T20I hundred by an Indian in T20Is, going past KL Rahul, who has a 46-ball century to his name in the shortest format against the West Indies back in 2016.

Rohit holds the record for the fastest century by an Indian when he scored a 35-ball century against Sri Lanka. Suryakumar remained unbeaten for 112 off just 51 balls. His belligerent knock had seven 4s and 9 sixes embedded in it.
