After India won the series opener by five wickets, West Indies powered back stronger in the second ODI match to level the series at 1–1. West Indies captain Shai Hope led from the front with the bat, scoring a match-winning 63 runs off 80 balls, and ensured that the host side reached the set target with six wickets in hand.
Among bowlers, Gudakesh Motie and Romario Shepherd stood, each bagging three wickets in the first innings. For India, it was a terrible display of batting as they were bowled out for 181 runs with only Ishan Kishan managing to score a half-century. Shardul Thakur was brilliant with the ball, having picked up three wickets.
