He played a brilliant inning of 72* off just 53 balls and helped his team reach the top of the points table of the IPL 2020.
Virat led side won the match by eight-wicket against Rajasthan Royals in Abu Dhabi on Saturday.
Virat Kolhi Reached 5500 IPL Runs
The brilliant innings of Virat Kohli have helped him in touching another milestone. He became the first-ever batsman to score 5500+ runs in the history of the Indian Premier League. Last year, Kohli had become just the second batsman after Suresh Raina but the fastest to scale Mount.5000 in IPL cricket.
The veteran had touched that milestone in just 157 innings and has taken 15 more innings to make it 5500 marks.
Overall, Kohli has made a spectacular comeback in the IPL by showing his fantastic batting skills. Virat has scored his first half-century this season, while this is his 37th half-century in the IPL career.
