IPL 2022: Lucknow Franchise Set To Rope In KL Rahul, Marcus Stoinis & Ravi Bishnoi
Lucknow franchise has reportedly roped in KL Rahul, Marcus Stoinis and Ravi Bishnoi as the three players from the draft ahead of IPL's mega auction.

Indian opening batsman KL Rahul, Australian pace bowling all-rounder Marcus Stoinis and uncapped Indian leg-spinner Ravi Bishnoi are all set to join the new Lucknow franchise for the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022.
As per report of ESPNCricinfo, the Lucknow franchise will go into mega auction with a purse of INR 60 crore as KL Rahul cost them INR 15 crore, Stoinis INR 11 crore, and Bishnoi INR 4 crore.
After leading Punjab Kings for two seasons, KL Rahul requested the PBKS team management to release him ahead of the mega auction. Under his captaincy, Punjab finished sixth in IPL 2020 as well as IPL 2021.
He might have failed as a captain in Punjab but his batting records have been blistering so far. Rahul aggregated 2548 runs at an excellent average of 56.62 in just 55 innings. He scored 659, 593, 670 and 626 runs respectively in the seasons between 2018 to 2021.
Marcus Stoinis, the star australian all rounder has also been picked by the franchise ahead of the auction. He was released by the Delhi Capitals ahead of the IPL 2022 as they retained Rishabh Pant, Prithvi Shaw, Anrich Nortje and Axar Patel.
The leading wicket-taker of ICC U19 World Cup 2020, Ravi Bishnoi, is a fantastic deal for Lucknow franchise. He has grabbed 24 wickets in 23 IPL games so far at an economy of around 6.00.
