IPL 2023: Punjab Kings Appoint Sunil Joshi As Bowling Coach
IPL 2023: Sunil Joshi will replace Anil Kumble in the role.

Punjab Kings, on Monday, January 16 announced the signing of Sunil Joshi as the team’s spin bowling coach for the 2023 edition of the Indian Premier League.
Joshi, the former Indian selector from South Zone will fill the big shoes of coach Anil Kumble, who parted ways with Punjab Kings ahead of the IPL Auction 2023.
Notably, former India spinner, Sunil Joshi was one of the four members of the Selection Committee who was sacked by the BCCI following India’s semi-final exit in the T20 World Cup 2022.
The official social media handle of Punjab Kings confirmed the development via tweet, which stated:
“We are excited to announce that former Indian left-arm spinner Sunil Joshi has been appointed as Punjab Kings Spin Bowling Coach.”
Sunil Joshi, who announced his retirement from all formats of the game in 2012, represented India in 15 Test matches from 1996 to 2000, where he picked up a total of 41 wickets. Overall, the left-arm spinner picked 110 international wickets.
Punjab Kings earlier announced Shikhar Dhawan as their new captain for the upcoming edition of the cash-rich league. They also got roped in Sam Curran, who became the most expensive player ever in the IPL.
