Winner of Qualifier 2 will meet KKR in the Finals of IPL 2024

The Qualifier 2 of IPL 2024 will be played between Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and Rajasthan Royals (RR) at the MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai on 24th May, Friday.

Sunrisers Hyderabad was outplayed by KKR in the qualifier 1, they won the toss and batted first but failed to score a big total they had just 159 runs on the board and lost the match by 8 wickets in 13.4 overs.

Rajasthan Royals is coming here after beating RCB in the eliminator by 4 wickets, Jaiswal, Parag and Hetmyer batted well in the run chase of 173 runs and with the ball, Ashwin, Avesh and Boult starred for them.

SRH is likely to play an extra bowler in this match, Mayank Markande could get a chance instead of Sanvir Singh or Washington Sundar will come into the XI as SRH lacked a quality off-spinner in the last match.

RR were boosted by the return of Hetmyer in the last match, RR played both of Hetmyer and Rovman but against SRH they might play Keshav Maharaj instead of Rovman as Chennai track has favoured the spinners in the past.

Jaiswal looked in great touch against RCB in the eliminator and once again RR will hope for a good start for Jaiwal. This season he has scored a total of 393 runs this season at an average of 30 and strike rate of 152 in 14 innings.

Travis Head

Two ducks in the last two matches and both have come against a left arm pacer, Head will face an inform Boult this time. All eyes will be on him, Head is undoubtedly a big match player, in the past he has scored match winning centuries in WTC Final or the CWC Final, now it’s time for Head to step up in the IPL playoffs.

In the 14 matches Bhuvneshwar has taken 11 wickets and his economy rate has been around 9 runs per over. SRH expected wickets in the powerplay from Bhuvi against KKR in the qualifier 1 he gave away 28 runs in his 3 overs and failed to pick up a wicket.

The last time he played against RR he took 3 wicket haul and sent Sanju for a duck.

Avesh Khan

Avesh has taken 16 wickets from 14 innings but his best performance came against RCB  in the eliminator match where he took 3 wickets for 44 runs in his 4 overs. Against SRH his short balls will be a great weapon for RR.
