LPL 2022 is slated to be played from 6 December 2022.
The third edition of the Lanka Premier League (LPL) is all set to underway on December 6 with the final of the tournament slated to be played on December 23.
The LPL 2022 was originally scheduled to be held from August 1 to August 21. However, due to the economic crisis in the country, the tournament was postponed indefinitely.
A total of five teams, namely – Colombo Stars, Dambulla Giants, Galle Gladiators, Jaffna Kings and Kandy Falcons will be taking part in the T20 competition.
The Lankan tournament will be played in the double round-robin format with each team facing each other twice in the competition with the top four at the end of the league heading into the playoffs.
