Lucknow Super Giants Bid Farewell to Andy Flower as Head Coach Ahead of IPL 2024
Andy Flower has officially ended his association with Lucknow Super Giants as his two-year contract concludes.
Andy Flower, who served as the head coach of Lucknow Super Giants for two consecutive seasons, has officially ended his association with the team as his two-year contract concludes.
The announcement was made public by Lucknow Super Giants on their official Twitter account, stating:
“Dear Andy,
Today it’s farewell, but it’ll never be goodbye because you’ll always be one of our own. Thank you for everything! 💙”
Lucknow Super Giants flourished under Andy Flower’s guidance, as they secured playoff spots in consecutive seasons, following their debut in the 2022 edition of the Indian Premier League.
According to recent reports, discussions have been underway between Lucknow Super Giants and former Australia head coach, Justin Langer, with regards to him potentially taking on the role of head coach.
In addition to this, there have been reports regarding Gautam Gambhir’s potential exit from Lucknow Super Giants, as he mulls over a return to his former team, Kolkata Knight Riders, the franchise he successfully guided to two IPL championships.
