The Delhi Capitals captain, Rishabh Pant, has confirmed his place in the T20 World Cup 2024. After his dazzling knock against the Gujarat Titans in a recent IPL 2024 match, where he scored an unbeaten 88 runs from just 43 balls, PTI reported on Thursday, April 25.
Rishabh Pant, who made a comeback to competitive cricket in IPL 2024 after suffering a severe car accident on New Year’s Eve 2023, has looked in top form since the start of the tournament. So far, he has scored 342 runs from nine matches at a strike rate of 161 and an average of 48.
KL Rahul Preferred Over Sanju Samson
Additionally, there are reports that KL Rahul is being preferred as the second wicketkeeper, edging out Sanju Samson. Notably, the Rajasthan Royals captain has been in fine form this season, having scored 314 runs in eight matches at a strike rate of 152.
Meanwhile, KL Rahul, the captain of Lucknow Super Giants, has managed to garner 302 runs in eight matches at a strike rate of 141 and an average of 37. The 32-year-old has been looking to adapt to a more aggressive batting style in the last few games that he played.
