SA20 2024: Naveen-ul-Haq Joins Durban’s Super Giants As ACB Lifts Ban
Naveen-ul-Haq has joined Durban’s Super Giants in South Africa.
Afghanistan pacer Naveen-ul-Haq has received approval from the Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) to participate in the ongoing SA20 tournament, being played in South Africa.
Due to a contractual dispute, the board had previously suspended Naveen-ul-Haq, Fazalhaq Farooqi, and Mujeeb Ur Rahman from participating in T20 leagues for a period of two years.
ESPNcricinfo reports that the ACB has eased restrictions, issuing a No Objection Certificate (NOC) to Naveen for SA20. Similarly, Fazalhaq Farooqi and Mujeeb Ur Rahman have also been granted NOCs for the upcoming ILT20.
Naveen is set to represent Durban’s Super Giants in SA20. Having arrived in South Africa for the tournament, he will be ready for the team’s upcoming match against Sunrisers Eastern Cape on Saturday, January 20.
