[Watch] Virat Kohli Names His Favourite Shot, It’s Not Cover Drive

When it comes to legendary cricketers like Sachin Tendulkar, MS Dhoni, Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli, one thing remains constant – their signature shots. Virat Kohli’s cover drive, in particular, has a massive global fan base.

However, surprisingly, the cover drive is not Virat Kohli’s favourite shot. During a recent interview with Star Sports, he shared a revelation – his absolute favourite is the inside-out shot over cover, especially when taking on a left-arm spinner.

“My favourite shot is inside-out shot over cover against left-arm spinner. I first played that shot when I was 12 years old,” Kohli told Star Sports.

Kohli is gearing up for his next assignment on September 10, facing off against arch-rivals Pakistan in the Asia Cup 2023‘s Super Four clash in Colombo. He’s eager to bounce back after a somewhat lacklustre showing in the earlier match against Pakistan in the tournament.
